Turn c/r bluff v.s. habitual floater
 

Villain is a decent tag that is very aggro from the CO + Bu and very defensive of his blinds. Loves to float and see what people do on the turn.

I having been playing TAG stealing a little less than normal because I don't like having this guy on my left.

On the turn I think Villain can only really call with a J or a FH. Is this a believable line?

meh I like it only if you have a draw plus if he has one he'll call so you'll have to secondbarrel and you don't know if he calls you down with like 99

I like it to teach a habitual floater a lesson. Can't just let him have the pot every time you don't make a hand. I will say though, I like it more if you raised from the CO and he floated you on the button or some such. People do really weird stuff in blind wars sometimes, and I would not be surprised to see 77-TT call this bet based on the blind war factor.

Interesting, but I dont like it.

Against a player like this I like to thighten up in the SB and play good hands a little less aggressively postflop.

If he calls u light u will often have the best hand postflop and u can mix up your play with LESS continuation betting and let him bluff at it. You fire MORE 2nd barrels since he calls flop light. And u occacionally use the line you took with a strong hand and not a bluff since he pays u off!

Hope this made sense.

Generally u should off course avoid playing these players OOP if they are good. Raise him from the button!

i like it a lot. it would seriously appear to me like you would have a jack, but i would've raised to more like 45 so he couldn't call with clubs or a small pair in case you were bluffing. nice thinking, and nice play. if he folds, you made a decent profit as well.

Does the river matter? Surely we're not putting any more money in if called on the turn.
