A preflop question

10/20 bodog

we had been playing 4 handed, villain just sat down to my right 3 hands ago. His first hand, I raise utg, he called in bb, flop 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I cbet 120 into 160, he minCRs, I call. turn was 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], he bets 250 into 700ish, I push for 1200 more, he folded.

next hand he opens from sb, I call in bb. Flop AJ9r. he bets 3/4 pot, I call. turn brick, he check folds to my 150 into 260.

now hes button, he opens for 70 w 1200 behind, I have KQo in sb. Do we 3bet this?

I hope that's a joke.

4 handed right? I like a reraise for value. Considering that he's probably not in the mood to fold much to you. If you make a hand I'd just bet bet bet, and if you airball I'd play pretty passively as he'll likely hand out freecards pretty liberally.

Call, see a flop, let him do all the betting if you hit.

Everret, you three bet given stack sizes?

Re: A preflop question

I just call here, no way I'm pitching KQ 4 handed even OOP. But considering the fact that he might feel a little runover I might slowdown a little, and if I hit I'll probably check it to him and let him dictate the action. Given stack sizes I think a 3bet here is out of the question.

Missed the 1200. I don't think he calls a 3bet light enough given these stacks, so I like a call. I started a new thread for postflop because I think it's a common situation and very interesting.
