i guess don\'t order books from buy.com
 

so i ordered like 13 poker books from buy.com which amounted to less than 200 dollars. i only got 5 of the books and apparently the others didn't even get sent to me. Now they're telling me to file claim..so i guess for everyone out there...DO NOT ORDER FROM BUY.com. even if they refund me or get me a replacement..it will be a month late which is PURE BULLSHIIT.

FWIW, I've had very good experiences with buy.com for many years. Often the best prices I could find, and quick reliable shipping. They're saying the shipper lost them, and you have to file a claim with the shipper?

Same here. Where did it get lost? Maybe it's UPS' fault. The only time I had a problem with Buy.com was when UPS lost my package in transit. It wasn't Buy.com's fault that UPS couldn't do its job. I did have to wait 3 weeks just to make sure the package wasn't late, then Buy.com resent a new package (at their expense).

I've placed about 5 different orders from buy.com. They all arrived in 2 days or less using the standard shipping option. There was never anything missing. They usually have better prices than average too.

I hope you can get your stuff, but when you order something and it doesn't come, don't automatically blame the sender.

yeah i've usually shopped at overstock and amazon and had no problems so when i decided to do buy.com because their products were cheaper and i started to see their legitimacy through increased advertising I gave it a shot. I got 5 of the 13 books at least...but i guess it was just lost. i hope it will get sorted out..I wrote a nasty email that I wish I didn't send. Now I hope I didn't make the situation worse and make them not give a damn.

I just ordered four poker books on new year's eve with the free shipping from buy.com. They said they would show up in 8-9 days, and they came in three. I had purchased computer stuff from them years ago, but went back to check them out because of the recent ad campaign with the founder on top of their building - I didn't realize they had become a direct amazon.com competitor, I always though of them as a computer store.

I've also been using buy.com for years and I never had any trouble. Must have been a one timer...
