20/180 - second hand FT, KQo UTG

Pretty simple push/fold question. The blinds are pretty weak, the two biggest stacks are the two best players - high volume, big winners. It's the second hand. My image is of someone who open pushes about once an orbit. I haven't shown a hand down since we got ITM.

i would probably push, donīt know if its good mathematically but i would love to have 17k going into the blinds here....

Why? Accumulating chips is always good but will winning these blinds make much difference to my overall expectation, do I have significantly less FE if I fold and fold both blinds, do I ever get called by hands I'm dominating?

(I don't know the answers btw - hence the post)

Re: 20/180 - second hand FT, KQo UTG

cause now i actually got real fold equity for a defence of my blinds. especially since i just openpushed the last hand. pushing two hands in a row with "crap" isnt very probable do you think? someone who just made a move isnīt likely to try it again the hand after, but much more likely to do the same thing with a good hand right?

so i like to have 17k cause im planning to push next hand if the situation comes up.

otherwise i really dont think it matters that much, then we can fold all these three hands and keep pushbotting. and no i dont think we are called by kj, kt, qj very often. i get called in these situation maybe by aj+ ,lot of pairs...

what are your reads on the players?

i know it's 2nd hand of FT but you've played with a few of these guys when it was final 2 tables.

You may get credit for open shoving UTG here, very marginal for me. I dont think your FE is lowered that significantly once you are in the blinds.

If an aggro table, and plenty of stealing from the button/CO, might be a better opportunity to resteal from SB/BB?

If tight table, possibly good open shove here.

is it unthinkable to raise 3000 and fold to push?

What do you see pushing? If 99-JJ is pushing, then, yes, this is horrible. If only AQ+, QQ+ is pushing then closer. But, let's face it, 99+ and possibly wider is pushing.

To me, this is unthinkable. I've always gone by the standard "if I have <10xBB, I'm pushing" rule, but recently I've increased this to around 13-14xBB. Too many people understand the value of the resteal now and I found myself bleeding chips whenever I tried to open raise to 3xBB with a 13xBB stack.

In OP's hand, I probably push.

Yes, it's unthinkable.

Fold, I hate KQo, because it's an underdog to any pair and any Ax hand. You are not in desperation mode yet, why take that risc?
