double barrel and rivered low str8 - villain bets out pot

In this han villain was 27/6/2.5 after 120 hands and he was folding to 63% of the c-bets. I was running about usual 18/16. I wasn't getting out of line, nor was villain. No specific reads. I turned an OESD so I decided to double barrel and I rivered a low str8. What do you think about this spot?

(P.S. Can someone please give me a link to the proper converter for hh's from prima?)

I call here because I can't figure out any hand that includes a 9 that fits the previous action. Maybe he just thinks this is a good spot to bluff because there is no way he is putting you on a straight.
If he shows 99 or Th9h I take a note and move on to the next hand.

what about hands like K9? 89?

Giving villain's stats I don't see him calling raises with K9.
He could have called with 98s but will he call the flop with just an inside straight draw? If he does either he is giving you very little respect despite your tight 18/16 game.
I think those possibilities are still far-fetched enough to call here.

i don't think many people are going to advocate a fold here. your hand is disguised, K9 isn't really in his range, 99 shouldn't be there given the read, 89 probably would've raised turn and dumped the flop unless he made a loose call, basically if he has a nine your read isn't entirely accurate or he got out of line a little bit.

if you think maybe he made a loose call on the flop, picked up a draw on the turn and hit the river, would only bet the river with a straight, and would never try a different line with two pair or a set then folding might be good.

that doesn't help much but i think you need to be playing A+ poker with an above average to professional read to lay this down.

I think a little care is in order, 27/6's, and villians with high VPIP's but low preflop raises in general, can end up showing up at the river with a lot of stuff you won't see coming. OP's sample may be on the small side, but I wonder how often he calls preflop raises, and how often he goes to SD.

J9 makes some sense here, villian could have floated w/ gutshot and turned a double gutter. Not saying I would fold, but I would not be surprised to see it. If he has been winning a lot of showdowns, I think I could find a fold, especially since I am reading a forum and not involved in the heat of the moment...
