i think it's worth risking 4:1 to say that he doesn't have 8J spades, don't you?

I think you can fold here. I've never seen anyone try to represent the straight flush as a bluff. I think I've managed this fold twice in 25K or so hands...

Im confused is this really a question?

Let me give you a life experience story.

I got up the guts to play in the $100+9 PLO8 MTT
on Stars once last year even though I mainly played SnGs
I got the final table, 2nd in chips. $1000s on the line,
and on the 2nd hand, Im in a headsup pot against the chip
leader. Obviously, not where I want to be. The turn gives
me the Ace-High flush with the nut low redraw. I bet out
he raises, and I reraise pretty much getting it all in.
He pushes, I call, and as soon as he calls I type HOLD,
then I see that he has the [censored] Str8 Flush. River pairs
the board and Im out ninth...after being 2nd in chips. I
proceed to tilt off the winnings at a cash game, and then
some. After that, I stopped playing poker for awhile,(not
really that bad a beat, it was just the $$ amount that hurt)

Would I play it the same way again? Yes, everytime.

Lesson is, yeah it sucks when they have the str8 flush,
but this play is an automatic get it all in.

Unless you have a solid read, you're going to find that your opponent is playing a king high flush into you way more often than you get beat by a straight flush. You didn't play it strong, and he might think he's good. Call or reraise, and pay him off if that's how it goes.
