4-5 seconds connection lost problem..

When I play poker, I often get 4-5 seconds connection lost problems... it is VERY annoying. IT is very strange because if I open up a browser, and type, let's say, google.com, it works. Anyone know how to fix my problem?

What site? I had this at Pacific Poker constantly. Nothing more annoying than seeing your kings or aces folded pre-flop because it says you were disconnected. Support couldn't offer any solutions that worked.

Are you using a wireless network, if so try using wired and see if that helps.

are you on a large network? my connection at school has it's bandwidth capped during the day and it's virtually unplayable because I constantly am timing out - until they uncap the bandwidth around 5pm every day.

This is interesting because I had a similar problem. It always happened at the end of a hand when the pot was slid towards a player. I was using PT and had GT+ going with a pretty big database. I eventually started a new smaller database and the problem went away.

I don't know if your problem is the same as what mine was but that was what happened to me.
