Floating in a RR pot

Villain is 22/18, 3betting light fairly often. His range is obviously much wider than just TT+, so if a blank comes on the turn and he checks, I can take down the pot the majority of the time.

I think in your range you have better hands to float this flop. Do it with AK and fold AQ

I'd be much more likely to do this if you had opened from CO/BTN, but it's fine given your read. Although, the few times I've tried it, it never seems to work.

I like a riv bet vs thinking players better.

Re: Floating in a RR pot

only do this if you are capable of firing on the river on pretty much any river card.

Re: Floating in a RR pot

Wouldn't firing any river be pretty spewy if he calls the turn? I don't understand what that would accomplish. If he calls the turn, I don't think he has anything I beat, and I think he calls a river bet almost all the time.

i think you should just raise the flop if your planning on firing the turn if he checks. so many people use the stack-a-donk on the turn with an overpair. his check doesnt really tell you much

When villain checks this turn card he does so with the intention of giving up very often imo.
