I have a local bookie but know of no thumb breaking. Payday is every Tuesday win or lose. As far as I know if your account is not square you get no further action until it is.

I used one for awhile. Tuesday was settle up day if you were ahead or behind more than 200 bucks.

He ended up skipping town on me though, still owes me 700 bucks to this day.

Std. There are also some bigger players who cater to the WallSt crowd that settle up 4x per year: SB, March Madness, NBA finals, World Series - with $10k limit on losses and then you have to pay up to keep wagering.
