No great read on villian. He's 32/9 after about 30 hands. I have not seen him push anything in this session.

I don't think the pf raise is enough. Bet more on flop? What about the call there? On the turn it feels like we're beat, can you find a fold here or is this an insta-call getting 3-1 at this level?

Raise to $1.75 preflop, $3-3.50 on flop, as played call the turn. The only hands you're losing to are 8x and 66, and he's shortstacked.

I just put him in on the flop. 99-KK are in his range as well as other holdings you are ahead of. If he has trips, so be it.

kekedarius has already told you that you're bet sizes are a bit messed up. You definetly have to protect your hand better on the flop. We're going broke on the flop here almost all of the time without a very strong read. Rr the flop even if you think he has nothing. A lot of turn cards can kill the action for you and make you vulnerable to bluffs.

Pre-flop: Are there any hands that call my $1.25 raise but fold to $1.75? Or are we simply trying to build a bigger pot with AA?

Flop: If he re-raises are we pushing?

Getting close to 3-1 odds, call this all day long. Villain has to felt any overpair.

Your raise ( to 1.75) is for protection/value.

I don't really understand your second quastion.
Action should howver be like this if raised: Hero bets, Villain raises, Hero shoves.

I'm not sure I understand the concept of protection. I see the value part, but what does the bigger raise protect me from?

Re: $25 AA unimproved, villian shoves turn

From anyone outdrawing you.
The raise is a combination of both concepts.
Either you get more value and therefor exploit their wrong call further, or you take the pot down, and thereby can't be outdrawn.
It's basically the same as when you bet your madehands on the flop against draws. You would consider this protection, although it's clearly for value when the guy with the draw calls ( assuming 8 or 9 outs )

The protection part is that you do not want to give bullet cracking odds to players still left to act.
