Re: 50NL bet sizing
I suppose I'll take a crack at it since no one else seems to be in a hurry.
PF: Standard F: I'd bet 7 or so, 8 is pretty close so standard imho T: 15-20 looks good, we want fold equity here. He raises us, I can't imagine what he has without stats but I'd guess TT, JJ, maybe a smaller PP or some random bluff hand (given your read.) You are definitely priced into a call with as many as 14 clean outs (9 flush, 2 nines, 3 aces) coupled with his being maniacal. I don't like this spot, but I don't think you did a damn thing wrong in this instance. To answer your question, yes I think you should bet the turn strong to add FE already great hand equity vs. his range. He likely floated you on the flop, and if you check he's likely to follow through with his bluff and leave you in an even tougher spot. Any stats on villain? |
Re: 50NL bet sizing
Id bet 20 on the turn, but everything else is fine.

my question is, when firing a second barrel against a tougher opponent, should i bet an amount that'll price me in for the draw should villain move in over me? [/ QUOTE ] There was a post on this (I can't find it right now) about why it is bad to bet an amount so that if the opponent pushes you're getting odds to call. In this spot you definitely don't need to do that. You're only significantly behind another 3, so I'm happy to get it in here. |
Re: 50NL bet sizing
I don't raise this preflop. Fold
