$109 stars 20k garanteed bubble move
Do u like this move? I have no specifics reads on villain so I am assuming that he is a standard player who is kinda afraid of the bubble. average is about 12k and we are down to 39 players, 36 get ITM.

Re: $109 stars 20k garanteed bubble move
The flop shove is basically read dependant. Its not a bad flop to do it on since he needs either a king or a big club to call you but i think your preflop reraise needs to be a little bigger here to intice some more folds. Just go to a solid 4k.

Re: $109 stars 20k garanteed bubble move
Once you reraise preflop, you pretty much have to push any flop. Here you are probably not that far behind pot odds versus villain's range.
I am not crazy about the play, because you are so far behind villain's range preflop. J7o is 31% against a top 20% hand. I want a semirespectable hand to do this with. Also, you have no specific read that villain is afraid of the bubble, and you definately don't have a read that he is stealing. |
Re: $109 stars 20k garanteed bubble move
yea this play is heavily read-dependent if good. With only motivation; the bubble -it sucks(but only relatively since its very aggressive).

Re: $109 stars 20k garanteed bubble move
I think there is no need to do this at this stage in tourney. We should be able to find a few more spots to be aggressive on the bubble as a lot of players tighten up but players still actually get good cards. I also understand that generally we should be aiming for the real money further on but I think you are too far behind anything the villain may hold to risk busting yourself so close to the bubble.
And if you are going to raise I would like to put in a little more. Hes getting really good odds to call which you dont want. Also if he does call you are you planning to bet out if you dont hit the flop? |
