Wells Fargo Usable? Anyone else?
 

I'm looking to open up a checking account other than my current Bank of America. I've heard Wells Fargo allows credit/debit transactions without issue, is this true?

Or any other suggestions?

I have heard that they work too from a friend of mine, i can't confirm it myself though

I made a $100 deposit into Absolute Poker yesterday just to confirm it worked. I used my Wells Fargo ATM/Debit/Visa card and it went through with no problems. I was a little surprised also that the charge shows up as "Absolutepoker.com." I guess Wells Fargo has more important things to do than to babysit online gamblers. My guess is that once the regs are put into place, this won't be a viable option anymore though.

Wells Fargo debit visa card works on pretty much everything (Stars, FullTilt, Epassporte, etc).

Just put $50 in Poker Stars through my Wells Fargo debit/credit/Visa. Will show up as "PStars" on statement. No problems, no questions. Went into account instantly. Very surprised.

a few months ago i depoisted into stars via wells fargo check card.

i did get a call from WF stating something about the new legislation becasue the charge came up "pokerstars.com".

all in all they let it go thru, but i did have to endure a lecture.

epassporte the same, it didnt go thru at first, got a call asked if the attempt was legit, they said OK try again "to make your purchase online". I did and it went through.

there is a nunsance, but it does work.

As an Employee of Wells Fargo Bank NA, please be aware that all Debit card trans will go thru. Credit Card trans will be declined. additional info PM

My WF debit card ahd always worked in the past. Couple weeks ago I lost it and got a new one. I tried my new one and it was declinced and put on hold by the bank.

You can call, speak to the security department, and have this restriction removed. They will call you if you wait a couple days... I did this last week and have successfully made deposits to pokerstars, epassporte, and ultimatebet since then...
