are any of those options particularly weaker for various types of play? NL vs. limit, tourney vs ring game, etc.

Best for bonuses - Absolute, UB
Best for fish - The other 3

Re: Where to Play?

PokerStars should be way the best, gives an honest game up to 50K hands (or it may have changed since the middle of December last year and it may be limited to 15K per level/form but with a change one should be able to get to 50K hands) and one can get those hands fast and easy by multitabling, highly recommended.

Poker.com was good 10-20K hands but the rake is high and the nl-games (6-max) tighter than one may like, I had a 100 and 150% rakeback deals there, made a couble of $Ks but they made it stiff after that so I stopped playing there, but one can make non-reduced money before that, even more if there are people who must lose more now (try to see those and stay at their table(s)).

UB with rakeback deal and big bonus is of course nice but I was unable to win anything there facing too much [censored] (UB shuffle includes longer streaks), just the bonus and rakeback, could have made at least the same without any deals if I would have got an honest deal - it still doesn't mean one can't win there, it just means they won't pay anything extra but take it back like they did at Party and skins where one never won a cent of the bonus nor the rakeback. The same happens at FullTilt and it's a tight place, not worth playing though one may get an honest deal not counting the extra bad beats from bonus and rakeback though I never stayed to verify that as it was just too crazy, made just half of my normal winnings there, most all form deals, the fluctuations up and down were absolutely huge, even bigger than UB and Parties - at Stars the limit holdem fluctuations are reduced while the nl-holdem fluctuations may not be.

UB and Absolute will become one so not sure what it will be then, and what the rake will be (Absolute limit rake sucks at low limits though the 1-2 is not all bad just rakes after $1, but it may be tigher than 2-4 and 3-6 where only idiots are playing), but one may get a random shuffle at Absolute (I played their bonus already years ago and got it just good, and the games were real good at those times, now tight or high rake), just haven't played there much because they have too tight games or/and the rake sucks and there are better softwares.

WPEX is possible but the shuffle is not random and it's rather tight that though wouldn't bother me as it's rake free. But as it is and their attitudes against mere poker players, tough to recommend.

TruePoker may be possible if they haven't changed it. One can win there likely as long as one wants, though the wins will be reduced - mostly half at limit while haven't played enough nl there but the little I have I never made a cent though the low limit no-limit games were and may still be up to extremely good, though the stacks are very small to start with, but I doubt one can make any money there no matter how good the game is.

From the point of making money, I made most at Stars and Poker.com (thanks to them didn't need to work even during the summer last year), while making money at True is stiff going but with perfect play it's possible, while at WPEX one needs to just grind and grind and keep the head cool and hope to get to a good streak at some point, but they may like to give some better streaks to their sports bettors - they may hate the good players there that are there just playing poker when it wasn't made for that - it was made to give their sports bettors a rake free place to play some social poker.

I have never lost money at any place I have played but making good enough money to make it worth one's time it would be (for non-US players like me there are of course more options) Stars and Poker.com (NL, as the low limit rake is too high and they have not much action there or higher and when the table is not fuller they can be rather tough - the weak players come when the table is around half-full - also the fuller ring nl-games there may have more fish than the shorthanded games, made some very easy money full ring there while had to play hard at shorthanded nl though made good money there too, and at limit holdem). Absolute could be good too if the rake is no problem and one stands the software and possibly tight games.
