Coushatta Casino Resort Kinder Louisiana Saturday Tourney
 

I've never hit this tourney, but decided to this coming weekend. Buy-in is $200+30, only final table pays out. $200+20 gets you T7000, and extra $10 for the 'dealers pool' gets you T1000. Blinds start at 25-50 and double every 20 minutes for the first 4 levels, then every 30 minutes after that. Anyone out there played this one before?

VERY fast structure, by the time you get to 3 tables or so it becomes almost a total crapshoot no matter your stack size. That said....I have won it several times and finished in the money alot. It is a fun tournament and actually about the structure you would expect from a $200 weekly tournament. Overall, really typical weak play as is usually found in these type tournaments. Be sure to register early (I think they open registration at 8:30am) as it usually fills pretty fast since they cut it off around 140 players.

I'll expect to be there this Saturday. Last time I played- about 2 months ago it only got to 80 people, but with this being new years it will probably be full. Actually open registration is at 10 a.m. If you are playing on a table at 0830 then you can register early. Tourney usually ends about 6pm. GL

Lemme know if the Coushatta poker room is nonsmoking yet. I hate Lake Charles cause of the cancer fog.

Outstanding. I didn't make it Saturday, we got over 4 inches of rain and it didn't stop until noonish.

Oh thats outstanding! Now that Coushatta is non smoking, I'll never play at Isle in L.C. till they also follow suit. Worth the extra 40 minute drive from Houston to avoid the smoke. Nice!!

ps, of course it SUCKS that we can't play legal poker in Texas and have to drive to crappy Louisiana.
