POKER=Cheating-Teams-Bots-Why Play?
 

After reading and contributing threads to this site for a short while, it has become clear, several posters realize poker, whether it is on line or in a brick and mortar, involves, some suspect happenigs.

Participants in poker are up against: team play, bad management, no recourse, untrustworthy sites, and no recourse.

Wouldn't tournament poker players be smarter to organize their own organization, hire their own staff, enforce their own rules, on their own members, find sponsors, function as a 501 c-6 or c-3 organization, market and sell their product, like the PGA Tour?

Play for other peoples money, is that too easy of a answer?

If memory serves me correctly, it cost about $100.00 entry to win $ 1,000,000.00 (or more) first place on the PGA Tour.

It is quite clear from several of the threads on this site, known team work in poker tournaments exsists, cheaters exsist, on line sites are not trust worthy. (never mind that one might be playing a bot)

Maybe that guy who said "a sucker is born every minute was correct"!

Why play? Enlighten me!

I don't mind 2x2ers.

I do mind cheats, thieves, liars, manipulators.

I would enjoy poker more, if I found more honesty in the games.

Great players who run well will make significant amounts of money over the long run. Good players who run will will make money over the short run. Playing poker is fun. Bad players can learn to play "good". Good players can learn to play "great". That's about all there is to it.

Sorry, I'm not Russ G. Maybe I should meet Russ G.

I do go back to the days of collusion in poker tournaments when there were only 100 entries (or less) in the World Series. (70's)

Maybe that is why some hold soooo many titles!
