PokerStars - Seven Card Stud games

Does anyone know how the 8-handed seven card stud games work on PStars...? If all 8 players played thru the last round that would make 56 cards wouldn't it?? So then they would be using 2-decks wouldn't they?.. I'm really confused on how this works, can anyone shed some light?

hella good question, maybe we should try filling a table and checking through to showdown and post the hand history

Never seen it on Poker Stars, but standard rules are Community Cards.

In an eight-handed 7 card stud game, it is conceivable that 56 cards may be needed -- 8 players needing 7 cards each.

In most cases, some player will have folded on an early street and there will be enough cards. If, however, there are not enough cards to give everyone their last card, then one card will be placed face up in the center of the table as a community card that all players use as their 7th card. This is standard practice at not only PokerStars but at brick and mortar casinos as well, as most stud games are dealt 8-handed.

You see this happen more frequently online and in play money games because the games tend to be looser here than at a brick and mortar casino.

I hope this has answered your question completely. Please do not hesitate to let us know any time you need anything.

I've only seen this happen once ever. It was at ACR when it was a Dobro and the card came up in the middle.

7th Street is a community card all 8 players would use. Its dealt fsce up in the middle of the table. Ive never had it happen in 2 years of online stud, but I guess it happens in the micro and play limits.

Yeah, try some playmoney games and it's at least 1 out of 10 hands, if not more.
