About Stars bonuses (no bonus info here)

Currently, nearly my entire bankroll is on stars.

I'm assuming there will be a reload bonus soon, so I want to drop cash off the site to be able to take advantage.

I'm probably way farther ahead to get a cheque, deposit to my bank, then to neteller, as opposed to withdrawing straight to neteller, right?

I live in Canada, and my neteller is in Cdn funds. I'm pretty sure they (neteller) charge an astronomical fee for currency exchange.

Thoughts?

Edit: I just realized this might be a question better suited to the zoo... Mods please move if you feel it's appropriate.

yes, neteller charges 1.9% for the exchange + they have horrible exchange rates so it's actually more than 1.9% they get from this. create a new neteller account in USD. they will then close it since you have 2 accounts so you'll need to call them and ask to move your funds(if you have any) to the new account and close the old one. at least this is how it worked for me when I did this. ask their CS.

doing this will save you the 1.9% they take for depositing money between neteller and a site. you only have to pay the fee if you decide to withdraw from neteller to your bank account and if withdrawing with cheque is free for you then you'll save it.

I have also an account in Canadian $ and I never noticed and fee from pokerstars to neteller.

Are you sure ? did you yet checked the result of a transfert between Pokerstars and neteller ?

Neteller always, without fail, takes a 1.9% in juice, and as said before, the exchange rate is god awful. I've been whoring casinos in euros, but the 25% increase in EV has luckily covered it handily, and since most of my money traffic is between Neteller and sites, I've kept my Neteller in USD.

Yes I am sure. Have you checked the real exchange rate from USD -> CAD and compared it to the rate your transfer was processed. this is how neteller makes its money, you can be sure they take the juice.

I originally created my Neteller account in CDN as well. Just open a new account and have CS swap everything over to it and close your CDN one. They even moved my Neteller Points over.

They don't list the fee on the transaction - they just take the fee and pretend like it never happened.

I'm thinking that this is my ultimate solution, it certainly makes moving funds from site to site easier.

I'll just get cheques whenever I intend to bank funds.

Thanks for the help all.

Stars does very few reloads, maybe 4 or 5 a year. Maybe they will have one at the first of the year, to correlate with their changes to their player rewards system.
