Re: $200 PLO8 - Interesting river decision with nut-nut
Hero raises allin. obv flat calling is horrendous, and a minraise accomplishes the same thing (chance to get called in one more spot for the same ammount of earn. a raise up this nice will tell ur opponents u have ur flush (which is blatenty obvious at this point), but says nothing about ur low. u stand to get called quite often by UTG who is most likely holding a baby flush witha mediocre low (that blocking bet is telling us that). we might also get lucky and drag MP3 along if he had a NLD w/P, and has the same low. if MP3 has the set, then u werent makin a dime off him anyway. raise for pure value. and nice catch

Please note UTG is already all-in

Re: $200 PLO8 - Interesting river decision with nut-nut
mp3 probably has a counterfeited A3 so might as well shove in, the EV is higher.

Re: $200 PLO8 - Interesting river decision with nut-nut
ooppss..missed that. i still push tho to gain the add value from MP3 on the times he calls

Re: $200 PLO8 - Interesting river decision with nut-nut
I did push all-in. My thinking was that his raise on the flop looked like a lo draw with a flush draw (wishful thinking?). I figured a push here might look like I was trying to get it heads up and get me a call. As it played out MP3 used his entire time bank before folding. After the hand he said he folded A5 with a king hi flush (2nd nut - 2nd nut). He also said if I smooth call he probably pushes there. Anyone believe him???

I misclick fold this, but I believe a push would be best.

Re: $200 PLO8 - Interesting river decision with nut-nut
I guess I'm the only one that doesn't mind a call. A TON of times if you just call, someone will push their worse flush because they assume you don't have one, or are calling with a mediocre low or sometimes they will shove A4. Also you get a call from a LOT worse hands since the pot is a reasonable size. A6 and 2 pair might call.. he's not calling 200 more though. I think the amount of times you're gonna get the extra 50 outweigh the times you're gonna stack the guy behind you by a large margin. If he has one of the hands you are gonna stack him with he will probably raise all in himself.
