How glorious is this (5/10)

ok, I'd love comments on all streets. Is this really as simple as I found it to be? Can I make more in this spot?

the only way you won this pot is if villain is retarded.

No read?

Flop 3bet seems unneccessary to me, especially since you capped preflop. I would just call down, and most likely bet if checked to depending on the board.

wow, what? i expect he wins this after his river check probably 40+% of the time against a very good villain. if i played a hand like villain, hero would beat me often. there would probably be little value in a river bet, but he's going to win here a significant amount. i would never call the other guy "retarded" for losing this pot.

Alleo,

While your line is satisfying in that you can feel like you pwnd this guy with his flush draw or whatever, keep in mind that if you just called down from his flop c/r (and you could expect him to bet the turn and river, usually a good assumption in an aggro game) then you would have won 1sb more than you won here, without opening yourself up to getting blasted off the best hand by a flop cap or turn c/r.

Also, 5/10 and lower goes in SSSH, so i'm going to move the thread over.

Glory, glory, Halalujia.

I'm wondering why you didn't bet the river. Did you figure SB for a T8 Straight Draw or A9, or did you just figure he wouldn't call with a worse hand?
