$500 PLO, what\'s my flop plan

Button's range is badly-defined and BB is a lagtard who will bet any and all draws, he frequently bets preflop and seems to follow up 90% of flops with a pot-sized c-bet. He knows how to fold but you've got to hammer it into him that he's beaten.

I would raise here. button is almost all in and I wouldn't want hime to get off his hand (easy read) if you hit on the turn, where you will be facing a must call if it blanks the turn. Also, heads up if you make 2 pair you are more likely to win if CO folds.

I'd just fold here most of the time, it's a bit weak hand to be playing for 100-200BB. The problem is that our position stinks so bad and our hand is only decent. If we play i don't know if we should call the flop and hoping to keep position on BB or if we should jam it and hope for the best. I'd probably jam the flop if i choose to play the hand. we do have the blocker queen so if CO and button is the right kind of tight players i would like a raise more hoping to fold out middle and bottom set. Another reason to raise is that if we do hit our flush on turn we might not get any action.

I think you have to raise this flop and be prepared to lose your stack if necessary. There may be more optimal spots, but you can't always wait for those. Calling sucks b/c you're going to end up losing your action, plus if the button raises BB might try to isolate with hands that you would have preferred he folded.

Here's how I decided to play it..... FPS much?

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($125, 4 players)
BB bets $125, Hero calls, CO folds, Button raises all-in $414, BB calls, Hero raises all-in $907, BB folds.
Uncalled bets: $493 returned to UTG.

Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($1367, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $1367)

I think the first call is a bit bad due to loss of action on a heart turn as said above. After that though, with 3way all in action shove it in. You got lots of nut draws and can hope its QQ and JJ you're looking at.

What hand could BB have here?

BTW Great question. I think I like the raise but oh the variance ...

Re: $500 PLO, what\'s my flop plan

How does situation change if you have a ten instead of a queen (Wrap instead of top pair)? Are you more inclined to call in this case? The better my draws and the weaker my hand is now (Ace hi vs. top pair) the more inclined I am to encourage more people in the pot. The wrap seems stonger though so maybe a raise for value is called for ...

Re: $500 PLO, what\'s my flop plan

I guess it depends, will you get paid off with by smaller flush or will trips aggressively draw to a boat, if so a call might be best as you maximise your implied odds by not investing to much, however the presence of the queen in your hand also gives you a lot more all in power, its not a hand I mind a call or a raise with, once you just call then I do really like the raise, and BB folding worked out really well for you.

Change the Q to a T and I probably prefer a call slightly as you can get away cheap if the board pairs but any out you hit you can comfortable invest a lot of your stack in but there are no weak outs that will benefit from been all in.
