A) How do you know exactly what your opponent has?
B) What do you mean by showdown? You mean what should you do on 7th Street? If your opponent has trip 5s and you have a pair of 4s, ummmmm fold?

...but to answer your question. Fold. Even if you bluff with your massive pair of 4's, he's not folding trip 5's for 1 more bet.
