late stages, 22 on button

late stages of NLHE tourney

20 people left of 590. We're all in the money, but the money doesn't get good until top 10.

I'm on button, with about 22000TC, below the average of 35000. I'm outchipped by the entire table, save for one in MP, who is on life support.

Blinds are 1000/2000

I'm dealt 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and the table folds to me. SB and BB both have roughly twice my stack.

Whats your move preflop?

what's your read on the SB and BB? do they stand up to a steal attempt?

I got moved to the table just one orbit ago, but I did see each them surrender their blinds to raises.

go for a steal with a nice raise. if reraised - muck.
if called, see flop for trips. otherwise be done with the hand.

trouble is you have no post flop reads on the guy.

You read my mind. I came in for a 3xBB raise, making it 8K to go. SB calls, BB mucks.

Flop came K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

I couldn't see him having a six, and figured that, at this stage, any middle pair would have re-raised PF.

I didn't think he had AA, KK or AK, as he just called with the BB (who had him covered) to go behind him.

My biggest fear was something like 33-55.

So, figuring him to have missed the flop, I pushed. Honestly, I expected to take it down right there.

SB thought a looooooong time, and called with AQos.

Just push. You have plenty of odds fo that, even without ante. It doesn't matter how the blinds are plying this is a push.

If you raise, you have to call a reraise, since it is likely you are ahead plus pot odds.

Second K came on the turn and I busted out.

I deliberately didn't inlcude that, because I'm fine with the play--I just wanted to see what the rest of the forum would do there.
