Re: (60) AQ....

Completely depends on the opponent. Make a smallish 1/2 pot or so bet or check.

25% check. 75% t300, fold to a re-raise..

Re: (60) AQ....

This is kind of a awkward stack size and I don't really see how we can play it preflop not to get an awkward stack if someone calls. That said, is it ok to check behind based on stack sizes only or should this only be based on the opponent?

Re: (60) AQ....

If they'll fold to a CB if they've missed the flop then CB them. It's just mathematically right to. If you think they'll get tricky, checking is fine.

Re: (60) AQ....

and you will never know if they fold alot to cbets alot unless you got pt+hud+alot of hands on them. assuming yuo dont have any of this information, and haven't been paying attention since you are playing 4573985893 other tables on 453795934 monitors.. Is your default play to check or bet? This is why i sometimes just push preflop with a hand i know is ahead of calling range. Though obviously i dont like risking my whole tournament life on one hand which will probably be a 50/50 if called. So i dont mind making a cont bet which leaves you between 900-1000 chips left which is certainly a playable stack if your ICM is up to mark.

I sometimes like to delay continuation bet. Since it looks even more suspicious to thinking players when you DONT cbet when its checked to you headsup. It may seem like you are slowplaying a big pp to some people, since alot of people would bet the flop on a wet board like 789 two diamonds. But on a board that is pretty dry like that...it is more reasonable for villian to assume you would check behind with an overpair there since there are less turn cards that will scare you.

If he checks the turn..he almost certainly hasn't got a made hand.. I dont think if he has a made hand he is checking twice. Unless he is a slowplaying fish who doesn't like building pots with good hands.
