line check big slick holla
5/10 full-ring, loose-passive table. I've been raising quite a few of the pots and haven't had to show any of my hands yet, so I have a laggy image. 3 limpers before me and I raise it up to $50 with AK from 2 off the button. Folded around to BB who calls, 2 of the 3 limpers call. 4 to the flop.
Flop comes K-J-8 rainbow. Everyone checks to me, I bet $140 into a $215 pot. 2 folds, then the chick to my right check-raises to $300. I think and push all-in. She calls with her remaining $550 in chips. What do you think? |
Re: line check big slick holla
The 3-bet push is bad. If you think you're ahead, call the checkraise and push the turn.
However, I don't think you're ahead all that much unless she'd c-raise with KQ or KT or QT or something. Folding to the checkraise is what i'd recommend, unless you have a good read that she could be putting the moves on you. Your laggy image makes this trickier. |
Re: line check big slick holla
If you think you're good, call, stick it in on the turn.
You're not really afraid of free cards here, and this gives her a chance to bet again with a hand she won't call with. I would sometimes check this flop, WA/WB most of the time. Whether or not I would call the check/raise is read dependant, but I doubt I lay down, considering image. |
Re: line check big slick holla
Make it 70 preflop, as played I probably fold to the flop c/r, very read-depending though.
