Differences Between .50/1.00 and 2/4 at WPX?

After getting clubbed at the two-four dollar tables I dropped down to the .50/1.00 and have been doing well consistently enough that I'd like to step back up.

I'm new to the game and have 6,000 more hands of experience than I had, but I worry that I haven't learned enough. The only difference between the two games I notice is that there are a (very) few more limpers at the lower limits and there are a lot more hyper-aggressive players at two-four.

I was wondering if anybody else has made this jump and has any observations about the differences in play at these arenas.

I specify at WPX because I think it's agreed that the character of games there is a bit different than in the raked rooms.

A common recommendation is to play at least 10K hands at the current level. You should probably play another 4K hands at .5/1, and then move up and play 10K hands at 1/2. If you're still winning, you feel comfortable, and you have around 300BBs for 2/4, then move back to 2/4.

I recommend you get on a site that has no form of rakeback, specifically pokerstars. I have found the games there far more profitable than anywhere else including rakeback.
