Which AC casino should I go to today? Help appreciated.
 

I'm heading to AC today for the first time in over a year. I play the $300 nl game. When I used to go, I played at the Borgata because it had what I felt was the softest games. Is that still the case, or is there a better casino on friday night?

Hell basically anywhere on the boardwalk have a good time drink some beers.

Too bad the sands closed they had a monster big screen TV bar and was great for watching sports.

Borgata is too far away from everything your best bet is the boardwalk.

You know what The borgata is the nicest casino in AC but it's too far away from everything if you catch a bad run you can't go anywhere else unless you pay for a cab or trolly.

And contrary to what the borgataites tell you all the 1/2 N/L games in AC are soft.

With $2 and 15-20 minutes you can be at any casino from the Borgata. If you're leaving the game because you've been running bad / the game was bad I don't think the 15 minutes will hurt you. In fact, it would probably be a good break.

So you think those four casinos have softer 1/2 games than the Borg? I remember the Taj Poker room being kind of disgusting/uncomfortable, and not really non-smoking, (at least, not separated well from the smoking section of the casino) have they changed that at all?

borgata - will be suuuuper busy this weekend with the convention and women in wine event so lots of fish, cant go wrong there - all 1/2 games in AC are pretty soft but you might as well play at the nicest place possible, have fun

hey jman. i'm actually heading out to AC from baltimore in a couple hours for the weekend. the trop and the taj are a good bet for a fairly soft game at this level.

about the smoking: you used to be able to smoke right outside the poker room but as of maybe 4 months ago a law was passed and you can no longer, in any casino smoke outside of the casino floor (with the slots and table games) so the taj poker room is now pretty smoke free.

I'll be playing the midnight madness tournament at the taj tonight. it should be pretty fun. $80 buyin. 12k in chips and 12 min levels... obviously starting at midnight.

Well I'm 100% POSITIVE THE WILD WILD WEST does not have a softer 1/2 NL game because they don't spread cash games [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

And you proved with out a doubt my point. All the borgataites really don't have a clue about other casino poker rooms and how their games are. (They can tell you about how they were 3 years ago but not now) They can't even tell you if they spread cash games or not.

Govman : Dude the borgata is the nicest poker room in AC it is by far the most popular poker room in A.C.
But I think your missing out on a lot if you don't try all the rooms and see if there is one you might like more for whatever reason.
