Re: Need a line with JJ
why wld you c/r that flop?
wrong forum |
Re: Need a line with JJ
The converter also has "2+2" format choise probably, you converted it to wrong format.
Umf, I don't like the checkraise on flop against a preflop reraise on this level. I think you should either check-call, check-fold or bet-fold, his reraising range is probably very slim (it usually is). I think given the action, I'd either check-call and check the turn to see what happens or just check-fold flat out. I think check-raise is the best way to light money on fire. You have half your stack in the pot already and if you bet (AI only possible bet here), you are giving him 3-to-1. If you check and he goes all-in, you're getting 3-to-1. I think you're screwed. Furthermore, this goes to the "Micro Stakes" forum. NL50 and down goes there. |

Re: Need a line with JJ
If that's sarcasm I don't know why you bother posting it. I'm a limit player trying to learn NL, this is a pretty standard line in that game. Please offer constructive, explained advice instead of things like this.

Re: Need a line with JJ
oracle,
instead of saying that the line is a good line in limit, how about answering my question as to why you used it in NL? what do you think his range is? how does he responds to your c/r with that range? is your c/r for value or as a bluff? |

[/ QUOTE ] I know it's not a good NL line, that's why I posted the hand. Because I know I [censored] up and I needed advice- playing hands like it's limit is autopilot for me and I'm trying to change that. My skewed limit thinking was something along the lines of hand protection- I don't want hands like AQ, AK getting a free card out of me if theyre just c-betting. I know this is not as applicable to NL- I guess c/c and re-evaluate on the turn is correct? What if he bets something like 3/4 pot again on a blank turn? Fold it barring no reads? |

[/ QUOTE ] Thats fine, pay attention to how often they repop small like this pre. If you haven't seen it before, you can weight it towards premium hands only. Many bad opponents repop like this with a very goofy range, since they aren't sure what to do with 88 and ajs. |
