All In Call correct in this situation ?

The following hand i have played in the Moneymaker Promotion. I myself have played only 2 or 3 tournament seriously because i have got a token or a free ticket. This hand has me shown the difference between a cash game and a tournament game and was for me the most interesting in the tournament. I am not sure about the call. The problem is that when i call i risk the half of my stack. Before the call my stack was a litte about the average at that time. When i lose i am not in a very good position (M <10) and i can prepare an All In. I had no reads about my opponent. This was my 4th hand on this table. (He was a tight player - too tight for a tournament and left it earlier than i did).

Correct play, bad result. You might raise less preflop--maybe 600 or 800. But you're probably still calling his push, barring some read you have that he always has a big pair in this situation (not likely in a freeroll). As played, you're getting better than the right odds to call.

This is something about i thought about later. When someone calls and i have to protect the hand (getting TPTK after the flop) then helps a little pot more than a big pot.

The bigger the PF raise, the higher the equity commitment to a flop. Something to consider.
