Travel Channel\'s \"Tribal Life\"

Travel Channel has been running a marathon of this show all day today. I've seen it before, and its even more entertaining and compelling the second time around. The production team follows around the Bunlap tribe of Vanuatu. These are some of the guys that do the primitive bungee jump from a large scaffolding, using tree vines tied to there feet.

If you haven't seen this I would recommend checking it out. The cinematography is superb, as is the production quality all around. You get really wrapped up in their life, and get to see some very interesting traditions. Circumcision, "canoe" rituals, harvest dances, marraige, divorce, death etc., are all covered.

I find myself constantly relating to these people in many ways. The boys are just boys, the men are stubborn and retarded, the women are...stubborn and retarded. A very interesting look into their lives. Anybody else seen this program?
