Blind stealing situation

Villian is 36/20/3.32

My intention was to check raise the turn if a blank hits.
Or was my play ok like this?

3 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises</font>, SB folds, <font color="#cc0000">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero caps</font>, BB calls.

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (8.5SB, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5.25BB, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (7.25BB, 2 players)

I don't like the PF cap. I like postflop although I wouldn't raise a blank turn.

Why raise a blank turn? If he's behind, don't push him off his hand -- let him keep betting yours for you. If you're behind, why waste a bet?

And I agree with sharpie... the PF cap accomplishes nothing (doesn't give you information, doesn't clear anyone out, and we have no idea if it has value).

I wouldnt cap preflop. I would raise his flop bet and take it from there.

I don't know if I'm reading this right, but don't fold preflop for one more bet after being 3-bet (maybe PF means postflop here?).

I think it's okay to spew cap this once in a blue moon if the opponent is 3betting liberally pf.

These maniac caps serve two purposes: makes the opponent 3bet less liberally in future hands because opponent knows that OP is capable of playing back at him. In addition, if the hand does goe to showdown- whether OP wins/loses- he will get paid off big when he caps it pf with a strong hand.

Just don't do it a whole bunch
