the \"stock tips\" I keep getting in my e-mails
Anyone know how this scam works? The e-mails are basically telling you to buy a few stocks per day that I've never heard of and are obviously scams.

Re: the \"stock tips\" I keep getting in my e-mails
What these e-mails try to do is get others to buy the stock (that scammers already own) for no apparent reason, upping the demand. After hyping the stock and causing an unnatural rise in stock price, they sell, causing the stock price to drop back to where it should be.

Yes it's a scam but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't profit from it. |

Here is how the scam works: They send that notice out to a ton of people. For a small fraction, the stock goes up. Then of those, they send out another one...for a small fraction, stock goes up. Repeat, repeat until some very tiny group from the original set have had nothing but winners. They approach these people with their next amazing tip, and fleece them. [/ QUOTE ] Same deal as sports handicapping services. |
