Gram Parsons - favorite tunes?
I'll be playing a Gram Parsons Tribute in Nov - playing 3 songs -
will probably be - Streets of Baltimore In my Hour of Darkness - and in a slight cheat - a song Gram sang but didn't write, Wild Horses (the organizer assured me it was ok - there is a rumor Gram helped with that and basically wrote "Honky Tonk Woman") any Gram Parsons tunes that stick out in anyone's head? - I got a good chunk of his stuff but haven't gone thru the catalog extensively. Anyone besides me see Grand Theft Parsons? - (premise - when Gram died at 26 out in the Desert, his manager stole the body and cremated it at Joshua Tree National Monument - this is that story) - I like the guy - and he laid a lot of groundwork for artists I like as well as myself, but the Nudie suits - meh - LOL rb |

"Return Of The Grievous Angel", the title track of his last album. A haunting version is performed by Lucinda Williams and David Crosby.
