AJs 3 handed

BB in this hand is a retard. Makes bad bluffs, 3 bets PF on a whim, etc etc. Havent been playing with button much, but he seems aggresive. The table had been playing 5 handed for a while, this is only like the 2nd or 3rd hand its been 3 handed.

Button raises, I 3 bet A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], BB caps, button calls.

Flop comes 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I bet, BB calls, Button raises, we both call.

Turn is a 7

checked to button who bets. I want to raise....bad?

I think this is bad. I think button has a better or equal hand most of the time here. You are not folding a worse hand from BB. I don't think you can safely fold to a 3 bet from either the BB or the button, yet a 3 bet by either would be pretty bad news. The BB will often have few (or no) outs to win the pot with a hand like A4, a hand which he might well call your turn raise with anyway.

Just don't see raising accomplishing enough to make it worthwhile.

Looks to me like the plan is to get BB to fold an Ace, no? I don't think I like it.

Prefer a flop checkraise, since you didn't I like a 3 bet, since you didn't I think you should go for an overcall here and lead a river spade, Jack, or Ace and check/call the rest.

I had the BB pegged to auto raise the flop, i thought that would be better than c/ring. When he didnt it kinda threw me and I pussed out on 3 betting.

all,

no way do I think button is folding an overpair, nor am i trying to sell 7s full. I figure button has an overpair but it could be any overpair so I can have up to 15 outs, I also think he can have a big Ace here. I wanted to raise to fold out BB, I thought him folding an ace or any 2 overs would be good here.

I ended up just calling tho cuz I thought it looked way to obvious what my hand was given the way I played the flop and BB might not fold an ace even if I raised it and getting 3 bet would suck.

I think that's wishful thinking. When the three-bettor leads into the capper on the flop I don't see why anyone who you didn't bother to describe as crazy would get frisky with ace high.

prolly, but he was aggresive and its 3 handed so I can see him raising AK or something here once BB doesnt raise, then betting the turn cuz the board pairs. Not saying its the most likely hand hes got, but I do know he will be holding that hand here sometimes.

Sometimes c/r, if I lead, I 3-bet flop for sure.

No way I c/r turn. Button will 3-bizzle with overpairs all day.
