$4/180 Challenge Tonight (October 3rd) at 7:30 pm Eastern...

When: Tuesday, October 3rd @ 7:30pm EST
All members must register for the next FOUR 4/180s on PokerStars AFTER 7:30pmEST (19:30 Server time). If a tournament has less than 20 regged at 7:30 then that tournament will be the first one. I will post in this thread when we are starting.

Cost: Please send $10 to Ontario_Tory on Stars. (That's ontario_toRy, not toNy... In Toronto)

Scoring: Same as last week:

Missed tourney = 0 points
180-150th = 0 points
149-120th = 0.5 points
119-100th = 1 point
99-80th = 2 points
79-60th = 3 points
59-40th = 4 points
39-30th = 5 points
29-20th = 7 points
19th = 9 points
18-15th = 10 points
14-10th = 12 points
9th = 15 points
8th = 17 points
7th = 19 points
6th = 21 points
5th = 24 points
4th = 27 points
3rd = 30 points
2nd = 35 points
1st = 40 points

Wins and final 3's are HUGE in this stucture. Tie breakers go as follows.

1st tiebreak - Total Monies Won
2nd tiebreak - Highest Finish
3rd tiebreak - 2nd Highest Finish

If tied after that it is chopped

Payout structure is the same as last week - notice it's a bit different than the 20/180 challenge - a bit flatter.

Payouts: Less than 10 = 1st-100%, 10-19 = 1st-80%, 2nd 20%, 20-29 = 1st-60%, 2nd-30%, 3rd-10%, 30+ = 1st-50%, 2nd-%25, 3rd-%15, 4th-%10

Let's take a break from our crying about the legislation and have some good ole' fashioned poker fun... Who's in?

Still trying to decide if I'm going to play or not- I'm pretty bitter right now and my few attempts to play recently have ended badly

Still, these things are soo much fun. . . I'll probably decide around 5:30 ish.

If newcomers are welcome, I am in.

P.S. -- Out of curiosity, how rapidly do the first four tournaments past 7:30pm start? Over a ten-to-twenty-minute window or longer? If it is substantially longer, I may not be able to play. Thanks in advance.

I would say each tournament takes like 10-15 mins to fill.

All are welcome, especially if you've never played poker before...

The first one usually starts at about 7:35, and the latest that the 4th one has started so far has been just after 8:00. Usually we're done by midnight. (some of us much earlier... )
