bad call with J4 offsuit?
 

14 away from the money, ave stack is 10k, blinds 500/1000 w/100 ante. Loose big stack, only guy who can bust you, makes a minimum raise to 2k from the cutoff, i'm in the big blind with 14k and J4o do you make the call of 1k getting 4.4 to 1?

With a M of roughly 4 (which I'm assuming you have based on the 10K average) you're looking to push all in or fold, not call. Fold and push all in with a reasonable hand when the action is folded to you preflop.

dont confuse the guy. you should be shoving here very infrequently as if villain has ANY kind of a hand, he's got odds to call.

that make sense, i shouldve folded. instead i called hoping to flop big which i did, flop JJ3 i check raise him allin he takes awhile but finally calls, he has KK and catches the king on the river. I don't think its a horrible call though since i was getting 4.4 to 1 and i may just get lucky or unlucky like i did.

You're only going to get luckey something like 3% of the time. You're definitely not getting the implied odds to be calling for 1/14 of your stack with J4o.
