No, this is fine. You're a favorite against everything except for AA, a set, or a made straight, and even then you have a ton of outs. Given that none of these hands are especially likely I don't see any reason not to check/shove here.

A heavy favourite in fact. He's likely to be holding an overpair but as long as it's lower than QQ then you have 18 outs. That makes you a heavy favourite.
