(NL25) - Suited conn hits flop but meets resistance

Early in the session so I have a limited read on opponent. The flop call is probably bad cause I'm oop, but I wanted to see if he was just full of it. Then I pick up a draw.

Comments on all streets please.

I really think a c/r AI on the river is much better. HE will be priced in to call, and you will get more value.

In genereal this hand was played fine, but a river c/r is superior.

Really? I've often had opponents shut down on me when such a big scarecard shows up.

You like the flop call? I kinda thought that was the bad part.

I think that you can call here and see a turn. Dont get too commited to the hand and if you dont improve on the turn, let it go.

As for the river, I think the value you gain in a c/r is more than the value you will lose when he checks behind.

You've put 11 in on this hand. I would push the river, which is what you almost did. I think a c/r here is the same as a push, so you might as well push.

I think you underestimate how weak/tight the average NL25 FR player is post flop. In my experience, they have a great reluctance to betting for full value if a big scarecard hits.

Hero has 13$ behind and the pot is 23$, I think the value in a river cr is miniscule. Just push.

Wolfram, I agree with you, I think your call of his flop raise is the fishy part. You're drawing thin; but then again his raise is weak sauce, so whatever.

At the river you have only $16 behind. Villain has either (1) a busted draw, in which case a c/r makes you more, (2) a mediocre made hand, in which case the c/r misses when he checks through, or (3) a set, in which case it's all going in anyway. I'm much more inclined to bet for value, and with just 2/3 pot left, it's an easy push.

I actually like a fold on the flop. Its pretty close however.
