If you're a loser, infinite.
If you're a small winner, 20-30.
If you're a average winner, 15-20.

I read somewhere that 120 BB at a limit is enough. Is this true? just wondering if anyone could confirm this for me

If you're a loser, infinite.
If your a small winner, 200 -250.
If your a proven winner, ~150.

Both limit and PL your bankroll req. depends on your style if your aggro you might want to have a bit more than recommended.

Something seems to be missing here.
If I'm correct, we're talking Pot-limit O8b. Big-bet is not a defined amount in PLO8b. In Pot-limit the big bet is your stack. Most games of this sort are played for 100*big-blind maximum buy-in games on the internet.

To come to some conclusion on bankroll size, you (a new player) will have a learning curve. If you already know the basics of Omaha H/L 8b, your requirements my not be very high. The lower buy-in games are quiet a bit looser, but that's where you need to start to get your feet planted.

For the $0.05/$0.10 games which are $10 buy-ins, you should have 50*$10 = $500 and feel safe in avoiding RoR, provided you learn from the experience. Once you become break even, and understand game selection, you could reduce your bankroll requirements to 15 to 20 times the table buy-in you'll be playing. As you move up in buy-ins, the skills of the players on average will be much better. You will, with some luck, find a game with players willing to put their stacks in drawing for 1/2 or 1/4 of the pot. Most are thinking like they are playing limit O8b. You can be small winner or looser chasing lows. In PLO8b, you will need to learn that money is won by scooping and 3/4'ng your opposition. Chasing a low, with no way to make a high, is big-time looser strategy. If you are a low chaser, you need an infinite bankroll.
