LV or Cali for low level NL?

I'm thinking of taking a road trip and spending several weeks playing a ton of NL cash games from $1/2 to $2/5(would likely stay in an extended stay hotel aimed at business travelers).

Would it be better to go to Las Vegas or Southern California to play? Which would have the softer games? Is the rake in Cali significantly higher?

Thanks

Las Vegas, bar none. Vegas is better for low level NL on many levels, including rake, players, quality of games, etc.

Just my opinion.

The games will probably be equally soft... However the structure is better in LV i.e. you will be able to buy in to the games for 100BB or more. In LA for the low NL games they have 100Max with 2-3 blinds 200max with 3-5 blinds, and 400max with 5-10 blinds. The bike has a 500max 5-5 blind game and a 500min unrestricted 5-10 game.

One preference I have for LA vs. a majority of the Vegas rooms is that we play 9-handed.

Vegas games are by far easier.

Wynn is 9 handed, but still manages to get shorthanded quite often. I prefer 10 handed, though the difference is minimal.

I have played NL at Commerce and Morongo and found neither to be a very pleasurable experience. Morongo has too many teenagers, and Commerce's max buy ins are a little low in my taste in relation to the blinds (i.e. 5/10 has a $400 max, and 2/5 has a $200 max). I have heard that the Bike is better, but overall, I just prefer Vegas on many levels. The 1/2 or 1/3 with a $200-$300 max is always a great game available pretty much everywhere in Vegas.
