Three holes in my game?

I'm trying to plug some holes and would love comments on any of the following three hands. Roughly, they can be categorized as follows:

1) Calling a river bet with a good but non-nut hand; I burn dough here like my wife at a Neiman's sale;

2) Punishing the draw; not sure I'm hammering hard enough; and

3) Playing the nuts from the flop.

Comments on any and all streets appreciated. I'll give my thinking on each.

#1 Calling the river bet.

In this hand, villain has recently reloaded after I stacked him with a set of 5s v his two pair. No real reads, but he's been showing decent hands. When he called the flop and checked the turn, I strongly suspected TT, and at the river, I figured I was probably beat, but maybe splitting with another AKo. As I said, I think I burn money in these situations. Results aside, I think it was a lousy call and would love comments on all streets including the PF re-raise from the SB.

#2 Punishing the draw. In this little beauty, villain is kind of a crappy player, showing down junk. I wanted to punish the draw but not chase him away. I'm wondering if I'm letting players hang around too long when I've got a good but vulnerable hand. Results aside, do I shove the turn? Again, any comments welcomed.

#3 Flopping the nuts. In this last one, I lead out with the nuts, hoping someone has a good hand and will play back trying to push off draws. I have decent luck with this strategy, but get enough folds to my leads to have a closer look. Comments?

All these are not holes and just BBV posts. Hand 1 You played great, sorry he had a set. Hand 2, he outdrew you, you played ir great. Hand 3, sorry no one called, you palyed it great.

I might block the river for 60 in hand 1, but all 3 hands look totally fine to me. BBV!

Re: Three holes in my game?

Actually I'm not looking for sympathy for the beats. I just started playing 6-handed and am looking for frank feedback. If my line's really good, thanks for the validation. Seriously, no problems with the call in the first hand? I consistently feel like I know I'm beat in similar situations yet somehow justify a call. Seems like it's a leak.

I'd bet out in hand three rather than check raise. The rest seems fine to me.

Edmond -

Why do you feel these particular hands are leaks? I'd like to know because a lot of us, including myself, would play these hands very similarly. But that doesn't necessarily mean that we are playing them correctly. Just curious as to your thoughts.

Re: Three holes in my game?

Hand 1:
Standard.

Hand 2:
You cannot have done more to give him bad odds to chase.
He wins so little on the river bet, this is simply a moneymaker for you.

Hand 3:
Like the second hand but nobody was chasing.

You may well have the leaks you describe but these hands do not illustrate them.

Re: Three holes in my game?

Tar,

Intuitively, I thought my plays were ok, and but I just don't think I have enough of a frame of reference to know whether they're standard or not. FWIW, I'd have the same queries if I won them or lost them. I'm a relatively newbie 6-handed, and I'm not quite sure what merits a "brick" or a draw heavy board with fewer players.

In the first, for example, how often am I beat here (67s, 87s, A7s, TT, etc.) 6-handed at PP $200NL? How often is villain KQs or something I can beat? How about higher levels? At the turn I said "Monster" but I don't want to fall prey to seeing monsters that aren't there. I'm finding my instincts to be correct more often than I'm actually listening to them, so I figured I'd ask. It's not a huge leak, but it would definitely add to my BB/100.

In the second, regardless of the outcome, villain didn't have much left. Should I have just put him all in then or does that shove blow off his action?

As for the last, I think my c/r was bad. I usually lead out with the nuts, and in this case, where I don't fear more hearts necessarily, I think I miss a chance to let someone else try to blow me off the hand.

Bottom line, I'd like to think my line is good, but my frame of reference 6-handed is scanty. Thanks for any feedback.

Edmond

Re: Three holes in my game?

hand 2 - I would consider overbetting the pot on the turn.
