Re: Did I play this hand well?
I can't comment on how well you play the hand.
But, I would play it diffently. limping in with pair of 7's... well can't comment on this too. (don't know how the table is playing) after the flop (7s Jc Js) which gives you a 7 over J boat. couple thing that comes to my mind is this... everybody limp in for the flop. Which means that a pair of J's and J/7 or any J with junk is a big possibility. after the flop, anyone including you i would think, would not have gone away for a limp and a check. I don't know how you play... But, If I had "phyllis" hand, I think you would lose a lot more... 1. after the turn you have call the $60, I would have to think you would/could have the 7's or 5's for the hole cards to call me. Since I have trip at the moment, I know I need to pair the board or the J. 2. After hit my quad at the river. I know I have you boat beat. I would have make a huge over-the-top bet to appear like a steal. I would believe you would call me with your boat. (don't kowe if you would have call my, It is just a guess) |

[/ QUOTE ] Most people would have had all the chips in on the flop and turn as a massssive favourite. Good job not going broke this one time, tough luck the other 98 times you miss out on stacking your opponent. [ QUOTE ] Did I play this hand well? [/ QUOTE ] No. |

Seriously it's the first level of a tournament that's way too tight of a range to put your opponent on. To the OP I think you played poorly. I bet the flop and hope to get raised by a jack. Most players get all in on either the flop or the turn as a huge favorite. |

I didn't read it because you didn't post it well.

Re: Did I play this hand well?
You cannot say that the slow play was 'good' just because the player snagged their 10 card out. If this player would pay you off big with just the J then you definately made a mistake slow playing, since you could easily have gotten her to put in 1k and still layed your hand down on the river, and the only danger you have is if she snags the hidden T.
Look at the other way, HER slow-play cost her quite a bit of money. This MAY be mitigated if perhaps slow playing will get you bucks from some clown who say snags a Q; but realistically everyone sees the pair on board and a stiff Q isn't going to give much action. - Louie |
