who is Brron Jacobs/limit holdem em specialist
 

he is coming out with a dvd series on limit holdem heads up. This is expected to be released towards November according to expert holdem. Does anybody have any info on him??

He wrote 'How Good is Your Limit Hold-em?' which is a pretty good book imo.

He also has written some other stuff including some of the better articles in CardPlayer

I liked Ed's DVD set very much (thanks scorer) but I'll be interested in Bryon Jacobs' DVD as well even though I expect it could be quite similar.
based on how much I liked his book though I think his DVD should prove beneficial to my game.

Byron coached me on my HU limit game, he is a very good teacher and I am 100% positive this DVD series will be excellent because I am familiar with some of the work put into it.

I didn't get Ed's DVDs because I didn't think they'd help me that much, but these sound great.

HGIYLH is my favorite book I think. It's very good.

Byron Jacobs is an expert British chess player. At least an International Master and quite possibly a Grand Master. I'm not sure which.

haven't seen HGIYL thread for awhile...

people seem to love this book. although seems like the action has really moved to NL.

i looked at it in USA bookstore (Doesn't seem to be in canada)... my question was this: are its player reads realistic? they seem incredibly specific. frankly, i think a book about how to make those reads would be even better.

I guess the anticipation with heads up is more hands per hour/potential for winning alot more.

The trailer on that DVD looks quite quite good. His book is good. I'm buying the DVD set...
