Re: Standard?

sure. these guys can be kind of nutty and our hand has a fair amount of SD value plus we likely have 6 outs when behind on the flop/turn.

Re: Standard?

I am never sure whether the river call is right here. My approach has been to call him the first time something like this happens and fold in the future if it turns out he had a hand. Obviously if he keeps three-barelling me I'll revert to calling after a while.

There was a thread the other day where some people (including ALL1N for sure) advocated the converse, i.e. fold this one but call if it comes up again.

I am just not sure. I don't like folding a hand with showdown value versus a LAGgy sort of player when all I've done postflop has been check and call. On the other hand a lot of weaker aces won't bother to bet the river.

Guy.

Looks good. Against this guy we have to call the river for sure.

Serious question: what do 54/18 preflop stats tell us about his river play?

What I mean is, can we really extrapolate those out-of-line pf numbers to get some kind of hints about his likely postflop tendencies?

Guy.

The donk factor is atleast 20% with those preflop stats imo.

Those preflop stats means he's barrelling JTs.

Perfect. Although I have seen a few exceptions, those preflop stats almost always indicate a general lack of knowledge, discipline, sense, etc--which is highly correlated with the inclination to fire 3 barrels (or 30 barrels for that matter if there were that many streets).
