I'm going to Dallas in 2-weeks and wondering if there's any LEGAL alternative to Winstar and/or something closer to DFW.

Only reason I'm familiar with Winstar was via a 2+2 search.

Followup question since it seems to fit this thread. I might be moving to Plano within the next year and I see it is not too far from the border. How long a drive is it to Winstar (I'm in Atlanta now, anything less than 7 hours is a good thing)?

In response to the OP, no. Winstar is the closest legal cardroom. It isn't that far though, and the games are super soft. There are a number of underground rooms in the area, but it sounds like you aren't looking for that.

Another alternative to Winstar is Choctaw in Durant, OK. Depending on where you're coming from, Choctaw may be slightly closer than Winstar.

Choctaw mostly has 1-2NL, 2-5NL and 3-6 limit. I've seen lists for bigger limit games but I don't think I've ever seen them get started.

Winstar has bigger games, so go there if you're interested in playing bigger than 2-5NL or 3-6 limit.
