($6.50) Shortstacked bottom pair, push or check/fold?
UTG is a 32/15 and had limped in the four hands he/she had played at 200/400 blinds, not having shown down any. SB is a 22/9 and seemed solid.
Is this good or is it FPS? Is check/fold a better line here? No sir, don't like it. HU, maybe. Not so short shortie, maybe. vs. two guys with stack amounts that might consider folding a 4 or FD, maybe. |
Re: ($6.50) Shortstacked bottom pair, push or check/fold?
I check fold here because of my weak hand, two other players with big stacks that often look you up as they also get good odds to call if they have hit anything at all, you're on the bubble, and there is another player even shorter than you that will be hit by the blinds very soon

I check/fold here. I might consider making a move against 1 person as peek-a-boo mentioned but certainly not two. Wait for a better spot (and that should be coming soon since the button will be hit by the BB in two hands)

I recommend patience. Button will be things close in on him soon. Wait to fire with a stronger situation or if Button recovers. I like to get to money here and then get aggro.
