Re: Big pot--how would you have played it?
by getting more bets in on the turn and not effing up the flop?
pls tell me why you played the flop the way you did (warning : i am on my way to blastoff and seem to be in a richard schiff type of mood). |
Re: Big pot--how would you have played it?
I would have check/called the flop. You have a BDSD, so I think you have about 3 outs on the flop, so a call here is warranted with the large pot. I don't believe you're ahead here with 4 players seeing the flop, and MP2 having 3-bet you, so the flop donk probably wasn't the best idea.
I would have check-raised the turn. I would have gone to a cap. I'd bet(or raise)/call the river. |
Re: Big pot--how would you have played it?
Preflop: standard
Flop: I don't think you can bet out here with 3 other players in the pot, especially if two of them were from EP and the third 3-bets preflop. check-call one bet. Turn: very straighty board now, even with your set. i'm thinking bet-call river: call and go for over calls |
Re: Big pot--how would you have played it?
I like preflop but Im not a fan of the flop bet against unknowns. you are only ahead of a very select few of a sane preflop bettors 3 betting range and toast to all the rest. Im not really confident in any of our outs so Im not even sure if we can call a flop bet. I'd be happier if we held the 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]....

Re: Big pot--how would you have played it?
i don't like the flop too much, i think i'd go for a check-call. on the turn, i would cap it or raise as much as they let me. if they are still going strong on the river (ak? higher set?) call it down.
