I c-bet the flop, then shut down if called.

I bet slightly over half the pot here. Curtains wrote an article on c-betting regarding this and stated that it was a good move to c-bet when an ace flops as villain expects you to have an ace in this spot. This would be a better time to spend your chips rather than calling the turn.

Lol i referanced that thread soo many times this week in different threads. Maybe I should actually pay attention to it myself

Edit: I reread it and theres nothing about betting with medium-big pairs when an ace flops.

Trust me, I'm a HUGE fan of the 3x.

But in THIS early of a position, at a full table, 'protection' begins to take on as much importance as 'value'. I'd raise a touch more PF. A quick call from directly behind can turn this into an OOP/3-4way pretty quick.

The chips you spent on the Turn are FAR better spent on the flop, finding yourself HU - especially from the guy most likely to see a flop. You rep'd strength PF, no reason to not continue.

How often do you c-bet OOP with QQ/JJ if an ace flops with 1 pf caller?

Re: 22r - QQ with A-high flop

OOP, 1 caller? A lot

Assuming 1st hand (no read/deep stacks), the Ace alone isn't going to slow me down too often. If the texture of the board gives him additional reasons for calling, then perhaps not as often.

If you're asking specifically about this hand -- the call coming from MP/LP say...I'd continue on THIS flop every time (made easier by the smaller raise, which is contradictive to my previous advice I know )
