Need help buying a TV

Ok so my roomates and I are moving into our house, in 2 weeks and we are looking to buy a big screen tv for our home.

Now being poor college kids, we are looking to spend as little money as possible. Now all we are looking for is a TV 50inches or larger for as cheap as possible, quality doesnt matter.

We just want a big screen TV, call it an ego thing, call it stupidty, its probably both. However, we just want a big screen TV.

Our total budget is $950 we are open to used or new TV's it doesn't matter.

So OOT, im asking for help in locating a big screen TV, that we can have for our house that is goign to cost us less then $950 out the door.

Ideally, we would like the TV to at least look halfway decent, ie not an ugly looking tv, and inputs for our videogame systems and reciever are a must.

And we live in michigan, so if you know of any local deals haha

Once again; our total budget is $950 we cannot go higher then this, yes we know we arent going to get the best quality and we are stupid for buying a cheapo big screen tv. But still this is what we want, so help us out.

Anyways, thanks in advance for everyones help.

You can get a bottom end RCA 52" rear projection for around that price at Best Buy or Circuit City.

As long as you have the room to put it, that TV will be great.

RCA is solid for the money you have to spend. Have a few at "The "Wayside" for me.

If you aren't in a huge rush, keep an eye on the Lansing and Grand Rapids classifieds, you can find some great deals on big screens that people buy and then can't afford to keep. Also check the places like Rent a center or Aarons Rentals. They resell previously rented stuff at some decent prices.

Thanks a lot for the info PokerintheI, and thanks for the Link Verg, that TV is very nice and sleek, we are just looking for something a little bigger.
