Las Vegas Suites
 

My situation: I am treating my family (two sisters, one brother-in-law, two parents, plus me, so 6 adults total) to a Vegas weekend. I am wondering what the best choice of lodging would be. This would be over Labor Day weekend, 9/2 - 9/4 (two nights). Yeah, I know we should be getting there on Friday and not Saturday, but they are busy :\

I am willing to spend a decent, but not an obscene, amount of money for this. Let's say up to 2k per night (although, if there is a compelling scenario, I guess this is flexible). What's my best play?

1. Some sort of a suite with multiple rooms and multiple beds. Since this is a family trip, the lack of privacy will not be an issue at all. Read: no one will be having sex that weekend. Do these exist? I've always heard about them, but they are not listed on any of the web pages. Probably out of my price range...

2. Just get a couple normal guest rooms with a couple queen beds each.

#2 would def be cheaper, but I am thinking #1 would be "nicer". Thoughts?

In both cases, which hotel is my best bet? I've stayed at the Mirage/Paris/Bellagio/Wynn before, and the Wynn is my favorite (with the Bellagio being a close second).

I'd get 2-rooms at the Venetian. They're spacious and can have up to (3) beds if you count the sofabed.

I just took a look at the Venetian Suites (floor plans and virtual tour), they look super nice. I've never stayed there, I had no idea they had these awesome suites. Plus the sofa bed is huge.

So I'm thinking about the "Venetian Rialto" suite (1100 sq ft, 2 queen beds). Are there any good deals floating around for this, or do I just reserve it at the quoted price of $439/night?

If you've gambled there and have been rated, call casino marketing and see if they can get you in on any promotion that may be running at that time.

I would rather have 3 rooms, 3 baths, and 6 beds than one suite with two beds and one sofa bed and two baths.

You need to look into the concierge level for an extra $100/night. I've stayed in both, and the Venezia tower without concierge promises to be good without delivering 100%. The concierge level delivers.

i ended up deciding to fly out friday night with one sister (because we are both free), and then the rest of the family will join us on saturday afternoon.

i got the rialto suite (1100 sq ft, 2 beds) for 3 nights (fri, sat, and sun), and also the bella suite (700 sq ft, 1 bed) for 2 nights (sat, sun). on friday night i'll be staying in the rialto with my sister, and then sat and sun, it will be [me, one sister, parents] in the rialto and [other sister, her husband] in the bella.

total bill: 2k for the weekend. well short of my 4k budget, and also i am flying out one night earlier [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] thanks everyone for the comments.

I have stayed in one of the Rialto suites before, and rest assured you will not be dissapointed (especially with the value factor).

Wynn and Venetian are very different in style. Personally, I prefer the V, and I think you will be happy with your choice as well.

They do have poker rates as well, if you plan on playing at all. Inquire with a floor when you get there, and they can take care of the rate change once you log the hours.
